WASH Business Development Officer (Code: 003-WBDO-IUWASH)
General Position Summary
PSI seeks two Business Development Officers to support the implementation of Objective 2 at district & city level. They will identify opportunities for business growth and create marketing strategies for IUWASH Pasar private sector partners, based on those opportunities to meet and exceed revenue goals. She/he duties include building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers and suppliers and providing coaching and mentorship to WASH businesses.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
Identify and assess opportunities for business growth within the WASH sector, with a focus on IUWASH Pasar private sector partners.
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitors.
Develop comprehensive marketing strategies that align with business growth opportunities and revenue goals.
Collaborate with private sector partners to implement marketing plans effectively.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
Cultivate partnerships that enhance business opportunities and market reach.
Work closely with private sector partners to achieve and exceed revenue targets set in collaboration with IUWASH Pasar.
Implement innovative strategies to increase sales and market share.
Provide coaching and mentorship to WASH businesses to enhance their marketing and sales capabilities.
Offer guidance on best practices and strategies for sustainable business growth.
Track the performance of marketing initiatives and provide regular reports on key performance indicators.
Make data-driven recommendations for adjustments and improvements.
Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in management, business administration, marketing, or related field;
At least four years experience in a position with similar responsibilities in helping businesses become more viable
Goal focused with experience in the development, implementation, and execution of plans to grow small and medium-sized businesses;
Understanding of Indonesian WASH sector desirable;
Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated track record of working with businesses and entrepreneurs;
Sales and marketing experience highly desirable;
Creative thinker to see new routes to market and unique ways to develop existing opportunities;
Knowledge and understanding of USAID relevant policies, goals, and strategies;
Citizen of Indonesia;
Advanced report writing skills and proficiency languages (both Spoken and Written): in Bahasa Indonesia is required and in English is highly desirable.
