As of year one, the reach out focus will be in West Java province, and within year two the focus has been extended to East Java. S/he will lead the program plan, implementation, and monitoring in each district and collaborate with the district government agencies, farmer groups, farmer group unions, female farmer groups, Mercy Corps Indonesia COVID-19 COPE Program Partners, and Donor Business Partners.</p> <p><strong>Essential Job Function:</strong></p> <ul><li>Serve under the direction of POWER 2 Program Manager to implement program activities in the field, management of the grant and direct supervision of project activities to ensure the program will be reached 25,000 rice/corn/horticulture smallholder farmers and 2,500 female farmers/farmers’ wives (specific for West Java’s clusters) by 31 March 2021 (TBD with Donor);</li> </ul><ul><li>Develop monthly work plan and target and provide monthly progress against the target and work plan;</li> </ul><ul><li>Ensure the program will reach 5,000 female farmers and 2,500 female farmers/farmers’ wives (specific for West Java’s clusters);</li> <li>Ensure the program will conduct Training of Trainers to <strong>50 lead farmers</strong> in the participants’ communities on product knowledge of crop protection products. These lead farmers will become resource persons and assist farmers who will use the donor’ crop protection products for the first time;</li> <li>Ensure the program will conduct Training of Trainers to at least <strong>10 Midwives</strong> of Community Health Center in sub-district level and the family planning extensions of National Family Planning Coordinating Board (BKKBN) on product knowledge of the donor’ contraception products;</li> <li>Ensure the data needed for program monitoring, evaluation, learning, and report are available</li> <li>Ensure all MCI’s administration, logistical, human resources and financial procedures followed in relation to the implementation of this grant;</li> <li>Conduct regular site visits to MCI program sites to ensure the proper delivery of services;</li> <li>Provide collaboration supervision of local partners’ activities implementation as per the agreement;</li> <li>Maintain close regular contact with the local government agencies, local partners and donor focal point to ensure quality outputs/services and troubleshoot any administrative problems;</li> <li>Attend coordination meetings and maintain regular contact with relevant local actors;</li> <li>Ensure program team members have an understanding of program goal, outcome, outputs as well as their scope of work;</li> <li>Ensure program team members have the capacity and ability to implement program activities;</li> <li>Assist in monthly report writing on program progress, obstacles, and recommendations;</li> <li>Assist in donor report writing as requested; including a gathering of information;</li> <li>Assist supervisor and program management in filing and record keeping of project activities and data entry of program statistics as requested;</li> <li>Assist with security monitoring to ensure MCI staff, assets and partners are able to work securely.</li> </ul><p> </p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul><li>University degree in Economics, Business, Social Studies, Agriculture or related fields;</li> <li>Minimum 3 years’ experience working with NGOs in Emergency, Recovery and Livelihood Programs;</li> <li>Experience work with the local government agencies in Emergency, Recovery, and Livelihood Programs;</li> <li>Experience work with District and Sub-district Agriculture and Extension Agencies would be an advantage;</li> <li>Experience in farmer mobilization and have knowledge of farmer groups, farmer group unions, and female farmer groups;</li> <li>Experience in delivers training for farmers;</li> <li>Experience using digital data collection tools for monitoring the farmers’ participants;</li> <li>Understanding of working together with local partners;</li> <li>Experiences working with a private company or private foundation donors would be an advantage;</li> <li>Proven experience managing diverse and disparate projects;</li> <li>Experience in managing staff and understanding the need for regular support and follow-up to ensure that project objectives are being met;</li> <li>Commitment to working with vulnerable groups in need regardless of race, religion, or gender;</li> <li>Good problem solving, and written and oral communication skills;</li> <li>Ability to work without constant supervision and as part of a mixed team;</li> <li>Good knowledge of MS Office software such as Excel, Word, and Access;</li> <li>Able to write and understand spoken English is preferred;</li> <li>The driver’s license preferred.</li> </ul><p> </p> <p>Please send your CV together with the form on this <a href="https://www.mercycorps.or.id/sites/default/files/2020-07/MCI%20-%20Job%20Application%20Form%202020.docx" rel="nofollow"><strong>link</strong></a> with the subject: “<strong>Cluster Coordinator_Location_Name</strong>” to <strong><a href="mailto:hrd@id.mercycorps.org" rel="nofollow">hrd@id.mercycorps.org</a> </strong>.</p> <p>The vacancy will be closed <strong>24 August 2020</strong> and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interview.
