Digital Communications And Program Support Officer (DCPSO) – STRIVE

General Position Summary 

The Digital Communications and Program Support Officer will support the Strive Indonesia’ Program Manager to reach 300,000 MSEs (40% are women) in four provinces through digitalization, access to credit, and strengthening an entrepreneurial support ecosystem. 

S/he will be responsible to create external communications, documentation, and publication material related to Strive Indonesia program. The digital communications role will handle the production of graphic design/visual and video editing for program publication, campaign, and social media accounts.

On the program support side, s/he will be responsible for supporting program operations of Strive Indonesia, including  program administrative support for program team and donor representative, and assist the donor representative in preparing the communications material related to Strive Indonesia program. Also, support the Program Manager to keep up with the schedule in achieving the program target indicators, deliverables, and timeline agreed with the donors. 

The position is based in Jakarta and requires up to 20 % travel to program locations (depend on program requirement).

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Knowledge Management & Communications Coordinator to ensure 300,000 MSEs engaged in the program (40% are women) and reached through digitalization campaign.

  • Support the Knowledge Management & Communications Coordinator in implementing the communication strategy, in coordination with the Donor.

  • Support the Knowledge Management & Communications Coordinator to ensure 180,000 MSEs (40% are women) have access to training and mentoring on financial/digital literacy through digital and hybrid platforms. 

  • Support the Knowledge Management & Communications Coordinator to ensure 150,000 MSEs (40% are women) received digital adoption coaching and support. 

  • Support the Knowledge Management and Communications Coordinator to publish an impact assessment report.

  • Collaborate with Knowledge Management and Communication Coordinator to publish 6 blog posts and 6 stories throughout the length of program.

  • Support Program Manager in following up the bi-weekly report respond when raised by Donor.

  • Support the program team in managing program administrative data and files, i.e., financial and operational files, in accordance with the MCI standard filing structure in the Synology storage platform or MCI Data Center.

  • Ensure the relevant data needed for program communications strategy and reports are available. 

  • Maintain close regular contact with the Donor, local government agencies, key partners, and local community partners to ensure quality outputs/services and trouble shoot any administrative problems.

  • Attend coordination meetings when required and maintain regular contact with relevant stakeholder.

  • Conduct travel to project locations to monitor quality of implementation and adjust plans and approaches to meet the program objectives. 

Knowledge and Experience

  • University degree in Visual Communications/Graphic Design, or other relevant field. 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working on web design and creative graphic design. 

  • Proficient in designing and creating user interface graphic, illustration and multimedia assets like rich media.

  • Well versed in Flash and Action script/macromedia flash animation/Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator are a MUST.

  • Knowledge in HTML and PHP will be an advantage.

  • Knowledge in social media management and standard video editing is required.

  • Strong skill and photography and videography. 

  • Good written and oral communication skills. 

  • Good knowledge of MS Office software and Mercy Corps Indonesia digital data.

  • Able to write and understandable spoken English are preferred.
